Silk Bonsai Tree
My mother-in-law is fascinated by Asian culture. After she retired she spent two months touring Southeast Asia, China, and Japan. She shipped back to the U.S. lots of art, small furniture, and tea sets. She also gathered a lot of information on cultivating Japanese gardens and bonsai trees in particular.
Now that she is older, maintaining detailed gardens has become a difficult task. Her arthritis makes it hard for her to grip the special bonsai tools she needs to maintain her plants. Fortunately, I was able to find a gorgeous silk bonsai tree that she can keep indoors and admire. It’s not exactly the same as growing her own, but I can tell that it makes her happy.
